How to size a faja in three measurements (and why your dress size is useless)
You need three numbers: your waist at its smallest, your hips at their widest, and your height. Read those against the brand chart, not the size on your jeans.

The sizing question is the one I get most, and it is the reason most people end up with a faja they never wear. You do not guess, and you do not go by the size on your jeans. You take three numbers and you read the brand chart.

If you have been seeing the viral SHAPSHE faja all over your For You page but you are still confused on what size to even get, I got you. Three simple steps for the best results. Start by measuring your waist at the smallest part of your torso. Step two, get your hip measurements at the thickest part of them hips. And last but not least, your height. Once you get those three measurements, now you are ready to get your faja, besties. Waist is about to be snatched. Above all, I highly recommend just wearing it for like an hour to two a day when you are first starting off, and after that you can totally go crazy. I wear this to the gym, while I work, while I am doing my makeup. But let me know if you guys have any questions on your size, amiga, I would love to help you out.
What three measurements do you need?
Your waist, at the smallest part of your torso. Your hips, at the widest part. And your height. That is it. Write them down, then go to the size chart on the listing and find the row that matches all three, not just one of them.
Why can you not just order your normal size?
Because shapewear runs on its own system. A compression garment is built to a measurement, not to a dress size, and two brands with the same letter on the label can be inches apart. I am a small in this one. That does not mean I am a small in the next one, and it does not mean you are.
If you land between two rows on the chart, size to your waist measurement. The waist is the part doing the work.
How do you actually get into it?
Hooks first, then the zipper. If you go for the zipper first you will fight it and you will decide the size is wrong when it is not. Start at the bottom hook and work up. It should be snug enough that it stays put when you move and loose enough that you can take a full breath.

How long should you wear it when you are starting?
An hour or two a day at first. Build up from there. I wear mine to the gym, while I work and while I am doing my makeup, but that took time. Going from zero to a full day on day one is how it ends up in a drawer.
Who this is not for
If you want something you can put on in the morning and forget about, this is not it. Compression is not a t shirt and the break in period is real. If you are between sizes and you hate anything tight, size up and wear it less often rather than sizing down and never touching it.
And I can only tell you how it fits and feels on me. What it does for anyone else's body is not something I can promise.

Send me your measurements if you are stuck between two sizes. I answer those.

Questions I get about this
What size faja should I get?
Measure your waist at the smallest part of your torso, your hips at the widest part, and your height. Match all three against the brand's own size chart. If you land between two rows, size to your waist measurement.
Should I size down in a faja to get more compression?
No. Sizing down does not give you more shaping, it gives you something you will not wear. If you are between sizes and you dislike tight garments, size up and wear it more often instead.
How long should I wear a faja when I am starting out?
An hour or two a day at first, then build up. Going straight to all day on the first wear is the fastest way to give up on it.
