Anua Heartleaf Pore Cleansing Foam review: step two of the double cleanse
Heartleaf Pore Cleansing Foam. BHA-infused daily face wash. Gentle enough for every day, effective enough to see results.
My verdict
This is the second step of the Anua double cleanse that got me through my acne era, the routine in my Korean skincare is a scam video. It is a low pH foam with BHA, so it cleans into the pore without leaving my face tight. With the oil, it is the cleanse I always come back to.
How I use it
- After the Heartleaf oil cleanser at night, on its own in the morning.
- Pea-sized amount, lather in wet hands first.
- Sixty seconds, gentle circles around the nose and chin.
- Lukewarm rinse, pat dry.
Who this is for
Oily, acne-prone or congested skin, anyone who wants a daily face wash that is not stripping.
Who this is not for
Very dry or barrier-damaged skin may find the BHA too much twice a day. Use it at night only and something creamier in the morning.
Questions I get about it
Does the Heartleaf foam strip your skin?
Not on me. It is low pH and the heartleaf is calming.
Can I skip the oil cleanser?
In the morning, yes. At night the oil removes SPF and sebum first, then the foam does the rest.
Does it have fragrance?
A herbal scent from the heartleaf that fades as soon as you rinse.
