Wavytalk Airshape Pro review: the auto wrap roller blowout, honestly

Airshape Pro Roller Air Styler Set. Air styler that wraps the section for you, then eight clip-in rollers to set it. The at home bombshell blowout.

My verdict

This is the tool behind the bombshell blowout on my hair page. The barrel wraps the section for you, then you slide it out and clip a roller in its place, eight rollers and a clip for each. Brushed out, the volume holds, which is the part people do not believe. One honest flag: the Amazon listing is young and sitting at three stars on a small number of reviews, so read the complaints yourself before you buy. I like it and I still want you to look.

How I use it

  1. Dry hair, heat protectant, section it properly first. This step is the whole thing.
  2. Hold the roller next to the section and let the airflow pull it on. The suction is stronger than it looks.
  3. Slide the barrel out, clip the roller in its place, move to the next section.
  4. Small sections for big volume. Three or four rollers across the top.
  5. Bring the rollers down horizontally, not vertically, so they sit flat and stay put.
  6. Let everything cool all the way before you pull a single roller. Rushing here is what ruins the set.
  7. Take them out, shake, brush it through.

Who this is for

Medium to long hair that wants a salon style blowout at home, anyone who never got on with a round brush, and people who want volume that survives being brushed out.

Who this is not for

Short hair, since the rollers need length to grab. Also not for you if you style a different way every day, because this is built for one look, or if you have no patience for the cooling step.

Questions I get about it

Is this the same as the plain Wavytalk air styler?

No, and this is the mistake people make when they order. You want the roller set version. The plain styler does not come with the clip in rollers, and the rollers are what sets the volume.

Why is the Amazon rating low?

It is a new listing with very few reviews, so a couple of bad ones move the whole average. That is not a reason to ignore them. Go read them and decide for yourself.

How is it different from the Dyson Airwrap?

The Airwrap does many looks with many attachments. This does one look, the roller set blowout, and it hands you the rollers to do it. Different jobs.
